Ashley Ramsay is an award-winning executive and serial entrepreneur renowned for building and scaling one of Canada’s largest animation studios from the ground up in Kelowna, BC. Her leadership was instrumental in reinstating the British Columbia regional tax credits, a move that significantly bolstered job creation and the regional economy. Throughout her career, she has brokered high-level partnerships with global giants, including Amazon Studios, Netflix, Nickelodeon, and NBC Universal and Executive Produced Pete the Cat, Hotel Transylvania, Sweet Tweets, Summer Memories, and more!

A graduate of the University of British Columbia, Kelowna Secondary, and Okanagan College, Ashley has spent nearly twenty years driving B.C.’s economic growth. Her influence extends across the boards of Innovate BC, Accelerate Okanagan, and the Canadian Media Producers Association, where she helped shape the framework for tech accelerators and industry support systems across Canada. Furthermore, her advisory roles with Okanagan College and the Center for Arts and Technology have been vital in aligning academic structures with private-sector talent needs.

Ashley’s impact on regional development is marked by her success in spearheading provincial pilot programs to reduce red tape and fast-track tech talent. Notably, her collaboration with the Okanagan Film Commission led to the relocation of a major animation studio to the region, generating hundreds of jobs and millions in economic impact.

Following her 2023 exit from Yeti Farm Creative (now Artists Animation Studio), Ashley shifted her focus to high-level strategic advisory roles. She works extensively with First Nations across the country to secure funding for large-scale capital projects and cleantech advancements, most recently working in-house with Westbank First Nation on the K2 Wind Turbine project. Serving as a CxO across diverse sectors—including Defense, SaaS, Food Innovation, and Social Enterprise, Ashley brings deep expertise to every stage of the enterprise growth journey.

Deeply committed to her community, Ashley serves on the UBCO Regional Leadership Roundtable and is a Board Director for the Central Okanagan Food Bank. Alongside her husband, Todd, she is a dedicated philanthropic partner to the Kelowna Gospel Mission and remains an active investor in the Okanagan Women WMAN Investment Fund.
